Actra Co-op short film shooting the weekend of May 11th/12th is looking for one person specializing in sound to help us out.

We’d like someone who has some experience on a film set, that has access to their own mixer/recorder, boom, and 2 lavs that can come and record sound for us for the film.

The project isn’t dialogue or sound heavy, some scenes do not require any sound at all actually, but sound is important nonetheless. This would be a great experience for someone looking to get on set, meet some up-and-comers in the Toronto indie film scene, get fed, have a good time, and do some work that you’ll enjoy for the experience.

A bit about us: My producing partner and I are both actors/filmmakers, I am a graduate of the Ryerson Acting program, and we’ve made three short films to date. Both of us have worked in the Toronto film and television industry for 8 years, and we’ve been producing the last two years.

We are working with a very small budget as we are financing out of pocket so we are offering an honourarium for your time and expertise of $50/day.

The film is intended for festival submissions, and for future funding opportunities.

Anyone interested can email me:
