You will have good understanding of best practice development techniques and completely confident working with AS2/AS3 code.

The Spanish winery TERRAS GAUDA presents the 11th Edition of the Francisco Mantecón International Advertising Poster Design Competition, calling upon more than 135,000 graphic artists, design studios and universities around the world. In its first ten editions, this competition managed to assemble the cutting edge of international design.

TERRAS GAUDA wineries will award 16,000 euros in cash to the winners, who will have the opportunity to participate in the only competition of this kind organized by a winery at an international level. The deadline for entries is 30 September.

Roberto Turégano, a prestigious graphic designer with significant national and international career experience, will participate on the panel of judges this year, taking over for other well-known figures in the world of design who participated in the previous editions, such as Javier Mariscal, Alberto Corazón, Óscar Mariné, Isidro Ferrer, Manuel Estrada, Pep Carrió and Emilio Gil.

Over 12,000 works from artists from 86 countries around the world have competed in the first ten editions of this competition. Last year, the first prize was awarded to the designer Cristina Vergara Echarri, for his work which was selected among 2,100 others signed by prestigious graphic artists from different countries such as USA, Japan, Italy, South Korea, The Philippines, Indonesia, Kuwait, Latvia, Malta, Nicaragua, Nigeria, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa and Sweden.

TERRAS GAUDA exports its wines to 50 markets in Europe, Asia, America, Africa and Oceania. They marketed over 1.5 million bottles of their three Albariño wines: TERRAS GAUDA, TERRAS GAUDA BLACK LABEL, ABADÍA DE SAN CAMPIO, and LA MAR (Caíño Blanco).

ABOUT THE ANNUAL EMERGING ARTISTS EXHIBITION:
Since its inception in 2001, InterAccess has organized an annual Emerging Artists Exhibition to showcase new media artworks produced by post-secondary students and recent graduates. Curated and organized by a selected emerging curator (or curators), this initiative offers young artists experience and exposure and aims to provide a productive space for the critical exchange of ideas among emerging arts professionals. Past exhibitions have been reviewed by The Globe and Mail, The Toronto Star and The National Post. Former participating artists and curators have gone on to work and exhibit at such institutions as the Doris McCarthy Gallery, University of Toronto, The Banff Centre, Western Front, Space Media Arts (London UK), FACT (Liverpool) and Transmediale (Berlin).
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS – EMERGING NEW MEDIA ARTISTS:
InterAccess is currently seeking submissions from emerging artists in Canada that employ electronic and new media technologies, materials, methods and ideas within their practice. We are accepting submissions from post-secondary students, recent graduates or independent practitioners who identify as emerging.
InterAccess welcomes new media works in the form of: sculpture, installation, video, audio, performance and interactive art. Web-based projects are also welcome. All works submitted must be exhibition-ready. Based on the works selected, the emerging curators will develop an exhibition theme and produce a curatorial essay.
This year’s Emerging Artists Exhibition will be co-curated by Nancy Webb and Natasha Chaykowski.
Each artist selected to exhibit will be paid standard CARFAC artist fees.
The 13th Annual Emerging Artists Exhibition will run from July 26 to August 17, 2013.
Although artists are responsible for installing their own work, InterAccess will provide technical assistance and basic audio/video equipment.
SUBMISSIONS MUST INCLUDE:
- Project description (Maximum 1 page)
- Current CV (Maximum 2 pages)
- List of technical requirements (Please list materials provided by the artist, as well as any equipment or materials expected from InterAccess)
- Support material for proposed project/piece as well as of previous work (Maximum 5 files. Images should be 72 dpi and 600×800. URLs can be submitted for large video works.)
