We have free passes to the screening of THE WAY WAY BACK  on May 30th at 7:30pm at Varsity Cinemas (55 Bloor St W, Toronto).

We have limited quantities so come get yours soon!

Each pass admits one. Duplicates of the tickets will be turned away.

We suggest that you show up to the screening at least an hour before the film starts, due to the fact that seats and tickets are on a first come, first serve basis.

You can pick up your passes at the Image Arts Admin office (IMA 207).

We are interested in hiring a Ryerson third or fourth year photography student or alumni to photograph our upcoming wedding (July 26, 2013) in Toronto.

The candidate must have their own photography equipment and transportation, with previous experience in shooting weddings.  The person should possess a strong strength in portrait photography (shots of family members), as well as the ability to work with groups of people to compose more creative shots.

The engagement particulars are as follows:

·         4:30-5:30pm, Church Ceremony, Bayview and Davisville
·         5:45-6:15pm, Pictures at James Park, King and Jarvis
·         6:30-7:30pm, Cocktail hour, King & Yonge St.

The engagement delivery would be all the digital pictures from the event.

Daniel Ehrenworth Photography is looking to hire a full time 1st assistant for the summer and fall seasons. The position will begin June 8, 2013 and will continue for 26 weeks. The successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of photography production. Duties will include…

- Preparation for advertising and magazine shoots which would include liaising with casting directors, magazines, advertising agencies, assistants, producers, location contacts, stylists, makeup artists, etc.
- General help on all photo shoots.
- Researching and booking rental equipment.
- Researching and facilitating new lighting and camera equipment, techniques and applications.
- Retouching and editing low and high resolution images.
- Producing creatives.
- General day-to-day duties around the studio.

Applicants must have the following qualifications…

- University or college graduate from a related field of study – preferably photography studies, new media studies, or a relevant fine art program.
- Demonstrated interest in the world of commercial and/or fine art photography.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Interest and knowledge in contemporary art would be considered an asset.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Photoshop, C1 Pro, DSLR camera and professional flash units.
- Infectious enthusiasm and willingness to work hard and learn.
- A full valid diver’s license
- A kick ass portfolio! (To be honest, this is the most important qualification)
- Must be under 30 years of age

“Photography Assistant Internship”

The 18th annual Maximum Exposure Film Festival celebrates films made by Ryerson University undergrad film students. The festival aims to draw attentions to the talented filmmakers by showcasing a mixture of both narrative and documentary work from the first through third year film students. This year’s festival will be taking place at the historic Toronto cinema, The Revue located at 400 Roncesvalles Avenue on May 1 and 2.

The festival is entirely free but seats are first come, first serve. The doors open at 6:30 PM on May 1 and 2. The festival runs from 7PM-9PM each night. Please see the below lineup of films for our festival.

“Best Cinematographer in 3rd Year” will be awarded a REDONE MX weekend camera rental from Camera Rentals Toronto along with a LIFT membership.

“Best Cinematographer in 2nd Year” will be awarded a $100 gift certificate from Image Gear.

“Best Cinematographer in 1st Year” will be awarded a $100 gift certificate from Image Gear.
