For two years my fellow producer and I have been developing this idea about an estranged extended family that gets back in touch with each other for a ‘cousins reunion’. we then started building intricate back stories and plots about what had happened to these people and then brought actors on board and started developing characters. what we have not developed is story, nor do we intend to.

Dec 1-4 we are going to my family’s farm/cottage and having the reunion. We have no idea what is going to happen. There is no pressure put on anyone to have anything happen or make anything happen. All that it will be is the reuniting of these estranged cousins (i think there are about 8 of us in total) and us hanging out for like 3 days. Everything will be real and there will be no breaks and no ‘cut’. if people r like ‘lets get drunk’ then we do that, or dont and see what happens. when we eat we will have to buy/make food together. if we watch a movie we actually will watch the whole movie.

When its all done, the director and I will sit with hundreds of hours of footage and try to figure out what story we are telling. Post will be an amazing nightmare.

So how does the crew work? We are shooting with dslr’s and we need amazing people to operate them. Being behing the camera is as artistically crucial and creative a role as in front of it in this case because our director wont be able to be everywhere at once and part of your job will be figuring out what the most interesting thing is to get. The footage that we are left with is what we will have to work with, so having strong people manning that side of things is crucial.

You can reach me at 416-460-9498 or at silliatovitchgoldman@gmail.com

Thank you so much and I look forward to working with you!

***GREAT FOR OPPORTUNITY FOR FILM EXPERIENCE.  ACT NOW!! ***

To Whom It May Concern:

We are looking for promising photography students for a creative partnership. We are currently branding a band signed with Universal Music and want to work with an exceptional student for the band’s album artwork.

We are looking for a photographer that excels in conceptualizing an entire frame and carrying out an entire shoot – not just someone to shoot portraits. We are looking to shoot digital photos – most likely on the 5D, so we would prefer students that specialize with DSLR and not film. Candidates with strong Photoshop skills are required.

The idea to work with a student came to us because we want to align ourselves with young, fresh talent that can grow with us and continue to work with us in the future.

This shoot would have to take place in the next two weeks. Please send a portfolio and CV and include a few sentences about yourself in the body of your email. Compensation to be negotiated. Send portfolio submissions to the creative director Nev at nev@theyoungastronauts.com before Thursday, November 24, 2011.

Thanks so much,
