Copperheart Entertainment is a Toronto-based film production company established by Steven Hoban, who has produced a diverse body of work including the 2005 Oscar® winning computer animated short, RYAN; the Imax 3D film, CYBERWORLD; the popular GINGER SNAPS feature films; and the remake of the 70s horror classic BLACK CHRISTMAS, and the audacious comedy YOUNG PEOPLE F***KING.  Recent Copperheart releases include the Vincenzo Natali-directed science fiction thriller, SPLICE, starring Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley, and 388 Arletta Avenue directed by Randall Cole and starring Nick Stahl and Mia Kirschner. Copperheart Entertainment is looking to fill an internship position for August – December 2012. This is a full time internship, Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM.

Requirements:

* General office support including phone reception, making travel arrangements, shipping and receiving, office maintenance, filing, photocopying, etc
* Create, update, assemble, and send out development packages
* Proficient with MS Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
* Proficient with Apple environment
* Proficiency in Adobe CS Suite an asset
* Outputting quicktimes and DVDs.
* Proficiency in Final Cut Pro to edit  trailers, EPK’s, etc
* Familiarity with After Effects, Photoshop, sound design software an asset
* Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
* Excellent written and communications skills.

I am looking to collaborate with a 3rd or 4th year Photography student who would be interested in a fashion related photo shoot.

Although this is an unpaid project, this will give the student’s work exposure in the Toronto Fashion Scene as these photos will be used to promote an upcoming Fashion Exhibit of a Women’s Wear Capsule Collection that will be presented during Toronto Fashion Week this October.

The model and hair and make -up will be provided for the shoot.

The photo shoot will be held the week of August 1st and can be scheduled to correspond with the student’s availability.

The Ryerson Students’ Union (RSU) is currently seeking a candidate to create two promotional videos.

Start Date: August 1 2012

Compensation: $700 honorarium (Note: This compensation rate is based on owning all equipment)

Cost Breakdown
Edit each video: $200 x2 = $400
Shooting: $300 per day (min 8hrs)

Responsibilities:
• Responsibly for creating 2, 2-3 minute promotional videos for the Ryerson Students Union
• Responsible for filming and editing video
• Works Collaboratively with the RSU executive, and with the Executive Director Communications and Outreach to develop video concept

Successful Candidates:
• Will possess strong oral and written communication skills
• Have the Ability to be innovative and solve problems in a diverse and challenging environment
• Possess strong time management skills
• Will own all equipment and software. (outlined below)

• Possess comprehensive knowledge of:
- Final Cut Pro or equivalent editing software
- Adobe After Effects or equivalent graphics software
- Audio editing software

• Must be able to operate:
- HD DSLR video camera (must own) (Canon T3i or better)
- Image stabilized lens (ideally canon 24mm-104mm f4 IS, but that can be rented)
- Two batteries for camera and min. 32GB of card memory (can rent)
- Video tripod
- Separate sound recorder (can rent) (Tascam or equivalent)
- Shotgun microphone with boom pole (can rent) (entry level Shure mic or better)
- Knowledge of lighting equipment (can rent) (only if required)
