Call for Submissions | Wildscreen Festival 2020

The Wildscreen Festival 2020 is now open for entries.  Documentary & Film Studies students may be interested in submitting their work to the festival, particularly the Emerging Talent Panda Award and Official Selection. Entry fees for both competitions will also be at a reduced price until February 16.


Panda Awards 
The Panda Awards honour the craft of wildlife filmmaking and photography and celebrate the outstanding achievements from the industry over the last 2 years. Panda Award nominees will be in with the chance to win the highest accolade in the natural world storytelling industry. Successful films will be screened as part of the Wildscreen Festival 2020 programme and be internationally recognised by senior industry executive attendees. Official Selection

The Official Selection is looking for original, creative stories at any length, format or budget that reflect one or more of the following:

  • Biodiversity
  • Authentic voices
  • Optimism and solutions
  • Interrelationships between humans and nature
  • Next generation of stewards and storytellers
  • Innovation in audience or platform
  • Impact

Successful films will be screened as part of the Official Selection programme to a public and industry audience, and there are cash prizes up for grabs! All the information about submitting to Official Selection can be found here.
