Evaluation

The concept for our project was extremely unclear when our group first formed. After a long discussion we finally had a plethora of ideas, now we had to determine which ideas fit together. We discussed ideas that seemed outlandish in our minds (such as the ability to change oneself completely) but after extensive research, we realized that technology that would allow someone to change their appearance is really not that far away. Once we understood the possibilities that technology would allow for, we took into account ethical issues of the device we were going to hypothetically create, as well as the strategies a company would use to market the product.

Beauty ethics was the foremost issue that we wanted to explore in our project. If people in 2050 could change everything about themselves, what is then considered beautiful? If everybody could be "beautiful" what would beauty define? And most importantly, what is beauty? All of this issues should be brought to the attention of the user when they interact with our site, which is a hypothetical version of a website for the company TranceForm. The website we created is meant to put the user in the world of 2050. It explains the company, their advertising techniques, and the product that they're selling.

Each of the group members worked extremely well together and completed their portion of the project completely and to their best potential. The distrubution of the work was fair, and in the end we believe we were able to create a well rounded experience, explaining all of the aspects of our project. The user should understand the product, the advertising strategies, and the ethical issues involved with this technology.
