Daniel Ehrenworth Photography is looking to hire a full time 1st assistant for the summer and fall seasons. The position will begin June 8, 2013 and will continue for 26 weeks. The successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of photography production. Duties will include…

– Preparation for advertising and magazine shoots which would include liaising with casting directors, magazines, advertising agencies, assistants, producers, location contacts, stylists, makeup artists, etc.
– General help on all photo shoots.
– Researching and booking rental equipment.
– Researching and facilitating new lighting and camera equipment, techniques and applications.
– Retouching and editing low and high resolution images.
– Producing creatives.
– General day-to-day duties around the studio.

Applicants must have the following qualifications…

– University or college graduate from a related field of study – preferably photography studies, new media studies, or a relevant fine art program.
– Demonstrated interest in the world of commercial and/or fine art photography.
– Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
– Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
– Interest and knowledge in contemporary art would be considered an asset.
– Advanced knowledge and experience with Photoshop, C1 Pro, DSLR camera and professional flash units.
– Infectious enthusiasm and willingness to work hard and learn.
– A full valid diver’s license
– A kick ass portfolio! (To be honest, this is the most important qualification)
– Must be under 30 years of age
